The history of Koa Wealth Management® begins on the island of Oahu, where our founder was raised. It was in this melting pot of cultures that Michael Souza learned to live Koa’s values of family, kindness, loyalty, and fierce bravery.
As a child, Michael’s father introduced him to finance through a straightforward and balanced personal philosophy. His father viewed his investments as planting a seed that would grow into a sapling. Given time and attention, the subsequent generations would nurture that sapling into a tree, producing food, shelter and tools to support the many generations to come.
We have adapted these principles to create a business that offers honest, authentic advice as we build the common bonds that form our company’s Ohana—a traditional Hawaiian understanding of community and family.
